Use our Aerosol Droplet Samplers to accurately calibrate
spraying equipment and eliminate the need to hand-wave slides
in the aerosol cloud. It also allows determining the extent
of the drift or penetration through vegetation of the aerosol
cloud. The samplers are designed to collect insecticide aerosol
droplets on Teflon-coated 25 by 75-mm microscope slides (for
oil-based preparations) or Magnesium Oxide-coated 25 by 75-mm
wide slides (for water-based formulations).

Two models of the Aerosol Droplet Samplers are available.
The Improved Aerosol Droplet Sampler Model 212 features an
internal rechargeable battery while the Compact Aerosol Droplet
Sampler Model 312 is smaller with disposible alkaline batteries.
The Improved Aerosol Droplet Sampler
Model 212
The
Improved Aerosol Droplet Sampler Model 212 is a mechanical
slide rotator designed to collect insecticide
aerosol droplets on Teflon-coated microscope slides or
Magnesium Oxide-coated slides. The swing arm holds 2
sides at a radius of 65 mm and spins at 450 RPM using
a precision gear motor. The unit has an integral 12 VDC
gelled-electrolyte battery to provide ca. 6 hrs of continuous
uniform operation between recharges.
The Compact Aerosol Droplet Sampler Model 312 provides the
same functionality as the Model 212 in a smaller form.
The gearmotor, along with 2 replaceable, non-rechargeable
9-volt alkaline batteries, are housed inside a small phenolic
housing. Battery life is approximately 2.5 hours; rotational
speed is ca. 550 RPM. The slide holder is identical to
those used with the Model 212.
