Mosquito Dipper for Larvae and Pupae (Model 320)
The Mosquito Dipper for Larvae and Pupae (Model 320) is a telescoping water sampling dipper primarily intended for use by vector control field technicians for the purpose of testing water sources for the presence of mosquito larvae and pupae; the total weight of the dipper is 10 oz (280 g). The shaft is made of heavy-duty anodized aluminum and is 30″ (76 cm) long when compact and 66″ (169 cm) long when fully extended. The dual locking clasps make it easy to set the device length as needed for a sturdy hold. Double reinforced rivets at the neck hold the white powder coated stainless steel cup firmly in place. The white powder coating makes larvae recognition a snap. The cup volume is 10 oz (300 ml). The hand grip is padded to allow for a firm hold.
